Privacy Policy
Cutsure (“we”, “us”) is operated by Kuo Han-Chun, an individual developer based in Taiwan. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Cutsure iOS app and website, why, and how long we keep it.
1. What we collect
- Photos you take in the app (front, and optionally side and back).
- Facial geometry — face landmarks used to estimate your face shape and to protect your face during try-on. This is calculated only on your iPhone and never sent to us. See our Biometric Data Policy.
- Hair texture you choose, and an optional note about what you want to change. The note stays on your device.
- Purchase information from Apple: subscription status and transaction identifiers. We never see your payment card.
- Device check: an Apple DeviceCheck value so each device gets only one free try-on.
- Anonymous usage statistics (for example “face analysis completed”), collected with TelemetryDeck. They do not include photos, names or contact details.
- Emails you send us at support@cutsure.app.
2. How photos are processed
When you try on a style, your front photo and a hair mask are sent over an encrypted connection to our server on Microsoft Azure, which forwards them to Google’s Gemini API to generate the new hair. The photo is processed in memory and deleted as soon as the result is returned. We do not write photos to logs or storage, and we do not use them to train AI models. We use Google’s paid Gemini API; under Google’s terms for that service, inputs are not used to improve Google’s products.
Your original face pixels are placed back onto the result on your device, so your face is never redrawn by AI.
3. Saved looks and stylist cards
Saved looks are stored only on your device. If you create a share link for a stylist card, the card images are stored on Microsoft Azure and deleted automatically after 7 days. Original photos are never stored for sharing.
4. How we use information
Only to provide the app: face-shape analysis, try-ons, stylist cards, subscriptions and weekly limits, preventing abuse, answering support requests, and understanding which steps of the app work (from anonymous statistics). We do not sell your information and we do not show ads.
5. Service providers
Google (image generation), Microsoft Azure (servers and temporary share-link storage), Apple (payments, DeviceCheck), TelemetryDeck (anonymous statistics) and Cloudflare (website and email forwarding). They process data only on our behalf.
6. How long we keep data
- Photos sent for try-on: deleted immediately after processing.
- Facial geometry: never leaves your device and is discarded after analysis.
- Share-link card images: 7 days.
- Subscription and limit records: while your subscription is active, then up to 12 months for accounting and abuse prevention.
- Support emails: up to 24 months.
7. Your choices and rights
You can delete everything stored by the app at any time in Settings → Delete all my data. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing support@cutsure.app. Depending on where you live (for example the UK, California, Canada, Australia, Taiwan or Hong Kong) you may have additional rights, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Age
Cutsure is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. International transfers
Our servers are in the United States. By using the app, your information may be processed there and in other countries where our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Contact: support@cutsure.app.
